minesobriefly: I got chickenpox in the first grade. I hardly remember anything about how awful it must have been, but I do remember the perks: getting to stay home from school for a week camped out in the basement, working puzzles on the coffee table (mostly dinosaur paintings and ALF portraits) and watching a taped broadcast of The Dark Crystal over and over and over again.
